Today I’m bringing 2 quotes to you of a similar vein.
"No alarm clock needed, my passion wakes me" – Eric Thomas
"Don’t let your alarm clock, be the only reason you wake up" – Ray Lewis
What get’s you out of bed? Do you struggle with the snooze button?
When high performance is studied one of the key things that separates average from high performance is their ability to rise earlier, grind and get more done. Whether in the corporate arena or the sporting arena the ability to rise earlier is a key to success. Simply having more time to be productive. This doesn’t mean neglecting sleep! It means prioritising what is important and have a schedule that allows both sleep (perhaps that means going to bed earlier?) and more time to be productive.
Look at your schedule; What needs to change? Where do you need to sacrifice to be the best version you can be? Perhaps this is Netflix, gaming, hanging out with friends.
Let these quotes challenge you to find a deeper reason to get out of bed. Think about how you can start your day to be better in all areas of your life – fitness, work, faith, family, or any other areas you have goals. Find your passion, find your why, have big goals, wake-up and chase the day!
For me personally, the dream isn’t what I see when I sleep, it is the thing which doesn’t let me sleep. My why, my goals and discipline push me out of bed each and every morning.
What drives you each morning? How are you going to change your routine, habit or goals to wake-up with some fire in your life? Share your thoughts and feedback below.
